Current Finds No. 3, 04.22

04/29/22
Small Business: Close to where I live in Bed Stuy is Halsey / Lewis.  They have a great mix of books, records, apothecary items, vintage finds, and more.  It is the epitome of a great small retail store, always evoking a sense of discovery and community.

Another Small Business:  IXV is our favorite (TPE neighborhood) coffee shop.  Located at 497c Pacific St., Jenny’s mission is simple: be less trashy with coffee and clothing. She will be joining us at TPE this Saturday May 7th from 1-4pm to block print Mother’s Day cards, stop by and make a card.

Running: I love to run, it is one of the most important things I do for myself and recently I can’t get enough of the NRC x Headspace runs.

Art: If I could make a trip to Ireland I would surely want to see the group exhibition girls girls girls  curated by Simone Rocha at Lismore Castle.

Snack: The most delicious potato chip I ever have eaten, I always have some at home.

Home Object: This wool and linen drying mat is one of the best items I have at home (and not from TPE). Usually such an overlooked item in the home, but something that gets so much use.

Inside: This home in Ibiza by UK designer Hollie Bowden.

Article: I am always very fascinated by the way people spend their time, especially those in between solo hours that others often don’t see.  For this reason I really enjoyed T’s recent culture issue, 24 hours in the creative life.

Color: I have never been one for bright colors but recently at the suggestion of my toddler bright pink flowers have been making their way into our home, and I am starting to come around to it.
