Position : Full Time Store Manager

Position purpose:  This position serves the mission of the business by keeping the company organized in its day-to-day operations while ensuring that sales goals are being met. This person must be extremely detail oriented, have effective time management skills, and be able to problem solve.  Excellent position for anyone interested in learning the inner workings of running a small business, and a plus for anyone with a passion for home goods and interiors.

Essential Functions

Sales Responsibilities

  • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Work with owner to strategize sales tactics and in store marketing initiatives 
  • Train staff to achieve daily sales goals 
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered
  • Deliver a warm and friendly environment to all who enter through the doors, and deliver top notch customer service

Customer Service Responsibilities 

  • Be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service support for in store as well as website.  
  • Must ensure a timely flow of customer contact, and serve as the point person for direct customer feedback within the organization.  
  • Act as a professional and courteous point of contact to facilitate special orders, repair requests, etc. 
  • Liaison between TPE, the customer and Ship Essentials, for any web damages and shipping claims that occur
  • Keep an extremely detailed oriented list of all customer service issues

Day-to-day Operating Responsibilities

  • Management of purchase order entry
  • Placing re-orders for certain vendors
  • Managing any damages, or not properly fulfilled purchase orders, and be the liaison between the store and vendor 
  • General inventory management, receiving purchase orders, unpacking goods, entering them into our POS system and putting everything away
  • Insure that all web orders, local pickups and deliveries are being packed properly, and sent our in a timely manner
  • Manage inventory backstock, and keep a running list of low stock items for reorder
  • Make sure store has all supplies needed
  • Insure that the the store is always kept clean and tidy, that new items are put out on the floor, and that price tags are updated

Management Responsibilities

  • Create and overseeing the schedule 
  • Be the point of contact for all sales staff members and any questions / issues that may arise
  • Make sure all daily tasks are completed and hold staff accountable  
  • Train new sales staff members

Trade Responsibilities

  • Keep an up to date client management system for Trade Accounts 
  • Send out sales orders and any requests from our Trade Clients 

Digital Marketing Responsibilities

  • Upload new web images and copy, keep the website and its products up to date 
  • Plug in content for weekly email Newsletters
  • Plug in content for Social Media 

Requirements

Must be extremely detail oriented and organized. Past retail and customer service experience required. Previous experience with Shopify, Klayvio and Photoshop a plus, as well as a passion for home goods and interiors.  Availability Wednesday - Sunday is a must. 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand and be on your feet for up to 6 hours per day. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs and  

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education: College Diploma not required but preferred.
Experience: Previous retail experience required
Pay rate: $55,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience.

 

Position title: Part-time Sales Associate  

Position purpose:  This position serves the mission of the business by driving sales through delivery and the maintenance of luxury customer service standards, as well as  participation in general inventory management and the operations of the store on a day to day basis

Essential Functions

  • Use TPE tools and systems to drive daily sales
  • Deliver a warm and friendly environment to all who enter through the doors, and deliver top notch customer service
  • Ability to multitask
  • Take down thorough notes and report to manager about any customer service issues that may occur during your shift  
  • Check email throughout the day, and respond in a timely manner
  • General inventory management, receiving purchase orders, unpacking goods, entering them into our POS system and putting everything away
  • Packing web orders, local pickups and deliveries that come in throughout the day, and assure proper handoff has occurred with our shipping partners 
  • Maintain a neat and clean store on the sales floor as well as in back of house 
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered

Requirements

Must be extremely detail oriented and organized. College diploma, past retail and customer service experience not required but extremely helpful

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand and be on your feet for up to 6 hours per day. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs and  

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education: College Diploma not required but preferred.
Pay rate $20 an hour
Schedule: 2-3 days a week. Must be available to work on the weekends, schedule will be determined at the beginning of each month.
