Floral Arrangement Workshop - Grain

Join us for a floral arrangement workshop - Grain,  with FDK Florals on Saturday, October 18th, 10am-12pm.

Grain explores the raw texture and quiet architecture of the season’s most evocative stems. Rooted in FDK Florals’ philosophy of working in harmony with nature’s rhythm, this workshop invites participants to build forms that honor imperfection, asymmetry, and the tactile essence of organic material. Through the study of texture and gesture, we’ll approach floral design as both craft and contemplation—revealing how the hand, guided by intuition, can shape a living composition that feels both grounded and ethereal.

Floral materials: final materials will be confirmed closer to the date, but may include seed pods, locally foraged seeded grasses, and dahlias—an unexpected pairing of elements that celebrates contrast and seasonal character.

All supplies provided. 

FDK Florals, founded by Fernando Kabigting is known for the commitment to art manifesting in the form of floral sculptures — shaped with a conversation and process firmly conveyed with a soft hand in nature. Fernando is a queer, POC, first generation Filipino immigrant, raised in California, living and working in Brooklyn with his partner, go, and Leonidas — their 8lb Yorkie.

*The workshop will be held outdoors in our backyard. In case of rain, the session will be rescheduled for Sunday, October 19th. Participants will be notified in advance if the workshop is canceled and will receive a full refund.
