Box of 125 incense sticks from Paris based Astier de Villatte. Damp wood, incense, and freshly laundered linen, evoke for Sonya Park the typical smell of an old, Japanese wooden house from the neighborhood of Aoyama. Exquisite traces of chic Patchouli (damp wood), smoked wood (Gaiac and Vetiver) and Cloves. A harmonious Moss accord, accentuates the feeling of freshness.

Benoît Astier de Villatte and Ivan Pericoli founded their company in 1996, together with members of the Astier de Villatte family and friends from the École des Beaux-Arts. They draw their inspiration from the history of decorative arts, popular arts and neglected objects.

Gradually, the duo assumed sole responsibility for the company, building its reputation through word-of-mouth rather than advertising strategies.
