Current Finds No. 16, 05.23

Exhibition: Portraiture was one of the first art forms I was really attracted to when I was younger and Avedon in particular, putting this exhibition at Gagosian’s downtown location on my list.

Another Exhibition: No one at TPE ever tires of the work of Donald Judd, so a trip uptown to see the exhibition currently on display at the Madison Avenue location of Gagosian is high on the list as well.

So Many Exhibitions: Jonathan Anderson, Loewe’s creative director has a deep love for craft which has taken form in the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize. The 30 finalists from 2023 will be on display at the former studio of Isamu Noguchi across the street from the museum, allowing the viewer to see incredible craft in a space which is being open to the public for the first time.

Game Changer: British Vogue’s May 2023 issue featuring a portfolio of 19 Disabled talents and offering a braille and audio edition of the issue as well.

Snack: I cannot think of a warm weather treat that I love more than an Affogato, and this one looks so insanely good.
Film: A series of French films being presented in NYC parks this summer.

Restaurant: For anyone who lives around or near Crown Heights (or wants to take the trip there) I just had brunch here and it was great.

Gardening: We spend a lot of time and energy on the tree pits on our block and here are some really good tips for caring for them / what to plant in them from the BBG.

Design Object: I love this sconce and wish I had somewhere at home to put it.

Article of Clothing: A comfy t-shirt from the minds behind Mother Tongue magazine in honor of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month.
